Patina Guitars Surprises and Delights at UK Guitar Show 2026
The UK Guitar Show marked its 10th anniversary last weekend at Cranmore Park, Solihull, and for Patina it was a first in every sense. Launched just a week before the show, this was the first time the guitars had been seen, played, or even heard of by most of the people walking through the doors.
Across a sold-out weekend, with footfall strong from open to close, Patina arrived as something new. Amongst the high-gain riffs and modern builds, it offered a different kind of appeal. Vintage-inspired design, familiar feel, and guitars that invite you to sit with them rather than rush through them.
We brought the entire Patina range to Solihull, built around classic shapes with modern playability under the hood. Nitrocellulose finishes, light relicing, quarter sawn roasted maple necks, stainless frets and Alnico V pickups are not specs you expect to see at under £600, and that is precisely what stopped people in their tracks. The reaction was immediate. Players picked them up, started reading the spec, and you could see the moment it clicked that something genuinely different was going on.
The response across the stand was incredibly strong, especially for a brand making its first public appearance. Many players had no prior awareness of Patina, but that did not last long. The combination of vintage styling and modern spec landed quickly, and the feedback was consistently excellent.
A recurring theme throughout the weekend was simple. Surprise at the price, followed by a second look, and then time spent properly playing the guitars.
The stand was busy throughout, with a steady flow of players picking up guitars and spending real time with them. Not rushed, not noisy, just genuine engagement. Exactly how these instruments are meant to be experienced.
For a brand making its first appearance just days after launch, the reaction could not have been stronger.
A big thank you to everyone who came along and checked out Patina. It was great to hear such positive feedback first-hand. Already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
